VENTURA, California – District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Dylan Patrick Thoele (DOB 02/03/92), of Ventura, was charged with going to a meeting he arranged with a minor for lewd purposes, contacting a minor with intent to commit lewd acts, and being a disruptive presence at a school.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Kang Sooyoung (DOB 06/08/94), of Los Angeles, and Damion Felix (11/30/92), of Oxnard, have been charged in two separate attempted robberies. District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Alfredo Ortiz (DOB 07/25/83), of Oxnard, was sentenced to 35 years to life in prison for the murder of his wife, Teresa Ortiz. On September 16, 2021, Ortiz pled guilty to first-degree murder and admitted using a gun.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Juan David Vera Mancini (DOB 09/21/76), of Los Angeles, and Brian Patricio Valenzuela Molina (DOB 03/25/97), of Chile, have been charged with 16 counts of residential burglary. Mancini and Molina have been charged jointly with 10 counts of residential burglary. The complaint charges Mancini separately with an additional four counts of residential burglary and Molina separately with an additional two counts of residential burglary.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Alisha Diggs (DOB 06/21/92), formerly of Los Angeles, pled guilty to felony automobile insurance fraud.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that former Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputy Richard Charles Barrios III (DOB 10/27/92), pled guilty to destroying physical matter, a felony violation of Penal Code section 141(b). The case was investigated by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) Major Crimes Bureau.

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office will have a specialized prosecution team that handles alcohol and drug-impaired driving cases through a $371,500 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS).
