VENTURA, California – District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Jesus Manuel Calles (DOB 06/27/92), of Santa Barbara, pled guilty to felony gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, felony driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, and misdemeanor driving without a valid driver’s license in a head-on collision that killed one driver and injured two others in December 2021.

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Bill Lee Jones (DOB 10/04/58), formerly of Simi Valley, was sentenced to 12 years prison.

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that on August 10, 2022, Lisa Cohen (DOB 12/23/66), of Oak Park, pled guilty to the crime of being mandated to report elder abuse and failing to do so. Following her guilty plea, Judge Gilbert Romero sentenced Cohen to 120 days in the Ventura County Jail and 12 months probation.
