    VENTURA, California –District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Retha Mae Drummond (DOB 3/1/56), of Moorpark, pled guilty to five felony counts of misappropriation of public funds. At the hearing, Drummond paid partial restitution in the amount of $155,810.

    VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Colin Meyer
    (DOB 10/01/80), of Ventura, pled guilty to attempted murder and admitted to personally inflicting great bodily injury on his ex-girlfriend and using a deadly weapon during the commission of the crime.

    District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Christopher Schneider (DOB 11/22/88), of Thousand Oaks, was charged with the murder of Nancy Standish-Schneider, of Thousand Oaks. The complaint charges one count of murder and a special allegation that Schneider personally used a knife during the commission of the crime.

    District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Librado Ruiz Rojo (DOB 1/23/01), of Oxnard, was charged with the murder of Carlos Alberto Murillo, of Port Hueneme, which occurred on January 26, 2020. The complaint charges one count of murder and a special allegation that Rojo personally used a knife during the commission of the crime.

    District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that James Anthony Rojas (DOB 1/11/57), of Riverside, was found guilty of nine felony counts, including foreclosure consultant fraud, grand theft, and recording false documents by Judge David Worley following a court trial. Judge Worley also found true a special allegation that Rojas caused losses exceeding $500,000. The investigation and prosecution of Rojas was conducted by the District Attorney’s Real Estate Fraud Unit.

    VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today the filing of a criminal complaint against Laura Leonard (DOB 05/01/75), of Simi Valley, charging seven felony counts of grand theft and an aggravated white-collar crime enhancement alleging she stole in excess of $100,000 in the commission of her crimes.

    District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced that Raymond Bolanos (DOB 7/7/95), of Oxnard has been charged with murder, a special allegation that he personally used a gun and a gang allegation, for the shooting death of Alejandro Hernandez of Ventura on January 19, 2020. Julian Nunez (DOB 11/10/93), of Ventura was also charged for his role in this incident with assault with a deadly weapon, a special allegation that he personally used a gun and a gang allegation.

    VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that on January 17, 2020, Judge David Hirsch of the Ventura County Superior Court imposed an eight-year felony jail sentence on defendant Peter Cuong Chi Nhan (DOB 05/22/77), of El Monte.
