    District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced that Dana Hiscock Vines, of Thousand Oaks, pled guilty to nine counts of grand theft and special allegations.

    Vines, a longtime office manager for Aviara Real Estate, embezzled $1.12 million from the company between 2007 to 2020.

    District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today, October 19, 2022, that Jesus Anthony Magana (DOB 01/26/83) of Oxnard, was sentenced to 155 years to life, plus 20 years for molesting a child over several years. Magana falsely represented himself as an official AYSO coach but had been disqualified from volunteering for AYSO.

    District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today, October 17, 2022, that Judge Derek Malan found defendant, Trevor Dalton (DOB 09/19/72) of Ventura, guilty of using a gun and inflicting great bodily injury. Mr. Dalton was an off-duty California Highway Patrol Officer at the time of the shooting.

    VENTURA, California – District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Miles Matthew Berry (DOB 02/21/89), of Newbury Park, has been charged in Ventura County Superior Court case number 2022024848 with the burglary of Paw Works and the resultant death of German Shepherd puppy “Pretty Girl.”
