District Attorney Erik Nasarenko has announced the arrest of Daniel Montano (DOB 02/15/94), of Camarillo, by the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigation and the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail. Montano, a real estate agent, has been charged with one count of grand theft and 14 counts of forgery.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko has announced charges against three members of a South American Theft Group, all identified by Customs and Border Protection’s National Targeting Center as Chilean nationals.

On November 9, 2022, the three defendants are accused of breaking into a Thousand Oaks home.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko has announced a guilty plea in the case involving defendant Michael Seidman, of Thousand Oaks. On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, Seidman pled guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced that a multi-million dollar settlement has been reached with AT&T over hazardous environmental practices in Ventura County and across the state of California. The $5.9 million settlement is the largest ever awarded statewide for this type of environmental violation.

“Today’s settlement shows that no matter the size or power of a company or individual, we will work to hold them accountable for offenses that could negatively impact the health and wellbeing of Ventura County residents and first responders,” Nasarenko said.

As lead counsel in this environmental prosecution, Ventura and Santa Cruz Counties will each receive more than $700,000 as a result of this settlement. The 56 other California counties and impacted regulatory agencies will be splitting the remainder of the $5.9 million.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that charges were filed against two suspected bank robbers. Anthony Edwards (DOB 04/09/86), of Los Angeles, and Alicia Brown (DOB 11/06/88), of Los Angeles, were arraigned in the Ventura County Superior Court on November 7, 2022. Both defendants entered pleas of not guilty.
