2021 Peace Officer’s Memorial

May is Peace Officer’s Memorial Month. We normally have a full in-person ceremony in Ventura to honor all of the peace officers in Ventura County who have been taken from us in the line of duty. This year, once again, we created this video as a “virtual memorial” due to the COVID-19 pandemic. DA Nasarenko takes a stand against violence aimed at Asian American Pacific Islander Communities

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko speaks about Tuesday night’s deadly shootings of eight people, including six Asian American women, was horrific. As prosecutors and human beings, our calling has always been to take a stand against hatred, misogyny, bigotry and violence. In memory of the victims and in solidarity with the Asian American Pacific Islander communities.
