VENTURA, California – District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that he and 27 elected District Attorneys across California have been granted a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) preventing the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR) from enacting an increase of credits for certain prison inmates.

(DOB 05/27/84), AKA Simon Ondik, of Sibiu, Romania, was sentenced to 16 months in state prison for conspiring to steal unemployment insurance benefits from the California Employment Development Department (EDD).

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Judge Patricia Murphy sentenced former Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputy Richard Charles Barrios III (DOB 10/27/92), to 365 days in jail and two years of felony probation. Barrios pled guilty on November 16, 2021, to destroying physical matter, a felony violation of Penal Code section 141(b). The case was investigated by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) Major Crimes Bureau.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Kang Sooyoung (DOB 06/08/94), of Los Angeles, and Damion Felix (11/30/92), of Oxnard, have been charged in two separate attempted robberies. The complaint charges attempted robbery, attempted first-degree residential burglary, possession of guns and ammunition by a felon, and special allegations of use of a firearm.
