Totten announced today that Judith Ramirez (DOB 3/10/73), of Oxnard, was sentenced by Judge Bruce Young to serve 27 years to life in prison for killing her 17-year-old daughter and injuring two others, including her four-year-old son, while driving under the influence of alcohol in May 2010.

District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Victor Chavira (DOB 4/3/70), of Oxnard, was convicted by a jury for the August 2008, first-degree murder of Albino Ramirez. Chavira repeatedly shot and killed the victim during a $30,000 drug money rip-off.
