VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that David Hernandez (DOB 3/29/74), of Santa Paula, was sentenced by Judge Ryan Wright to 50 years to life in prison for the first-degree murder of Hector Alamillo, also of Santa Paula.

VENTURA, California – Today, District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced that Gabriel Munoz-Hernandez (DOB 7/1/1998) of Ventura, was convicted of rape of an unconscious person in violation of Penal Code section 261(a)(4) and kidnapping to commit rape or sexual penetration in violation of Penal Code section 209(b)(1).

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that a jury found Juan Navarro (DOB 1/11/91), of Oxnard, guilty of hate crime charges. Navarro was convicted of criminal threats, brandishing a deadly weapon, possession of a concealed dagger, and battery against a person because of gender and sexual orientation.

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Alex Scott Roberts (DOB 07/13/95), of Simi Valley, was sentenced to 6 years 4 months in state prison for committing several sextortions and a sexual assault.

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Cedric Ferrando Frierson (DOB 11/20/74), of Agoura Hills, pled guilty to 13 felonies, including 5 counts of identity theft, 7 counts of forgery, and 1 count of unlawfully taking a motor vehicle.

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Trevor Dalton (DOB 9/19/72), of Ventura, was charged with one felony count of assault with a firearm with the personal infliction of great bodily injury. Dalton is employed as a Highway Patrol officer in Ventura but was off duty when the incident occurred.

VENTURA, California – District Attorney Gregory D. Totten announced today that Dean Michael Poe (DOB 04/28/65), of Ventura, was sentenced to serve 120 days in jail and placed on formal probation for three years for his role in causing a 2014 explosion at Santa Clara Waste Water Company (“SCWWC”).
