District Attorney Erik Nasarenko is warning the public against driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol as the holiday weekend approaches. In 2022, over 2,600 DUI related cases were submitted to the Ventura County District Attorney’s office by law enforcement. While the overall DUI numbers have edged down slightly compared to last year, felony alcohol DUI with injury cases spiked ten percent in 2022.

In September 2022, Glandros was convicted or pled guilty to several counts, including the charged gun allegations, for three separate crimes that occurred in 2021 and 2022.

District Attorney Erik Nasarenko has announced a no contest plea was made today in the case involving Bijan Nickroo (DOB 09/27/87), of Simi Valley. Nickroo, a teacher and coach at Simi Valley High School when he committed sex crimes on students, pled no contest to luring, oral copulation of a minor under 16, possession of child pornography and multiple counts of contact with the intent to commit child pornography crimes. Throughout the investigation by the Simi Valley Police Department, 28 known victims were identified.
